Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

PVC joinery is more affordable, provides excellent thermal and sound insulation, and doesn’t conduct heat. ALU joinery is more robust, has a modern look, and is suitable for larger glass surfaces. With a thermal break, it offers a high level of insulation. The choice depends on your needs and budget.

PVC offers better insulation and a more favorable price. ALU is more durable, stable for large openings, and visually more elegant. The decision depends on your priorities – choose PVC for energy efficiency, or ALU for modern design and longevity.

A thermal break is used only in aluminum joinery, as aluminum naturally conducts heat.
Its purpose is to improve insulation, prevent condensation, and reduce heat loss. It’s used in living spaces such as bedrooms, kitchens, and dining rooms, while “cold” profiles without a thermal break are used for interior partitions, hallways, warehouses, or terraces.

Both types have a long lifespan when properly installed and maintained.

High-quality PVC joinery can last 20–30 years with minimal upkeep, while ALU joinery, due to its strength and resistance, can exceed 40 years.

ALU profiles are slimmer and allow for larger glass surfaces, meaning more natural light. PVC profiles are thicker due to internal chambers for insulation, slightly reducing the glass area. If light and openness are priorities, ALU is the better choice.

The price depends on dimensions, profile type, glass, hardware, and additional equipment. On average, PVC joinery is more affordable, while ALU is more expensive due to material and production complexity. For an accurate estimate, request a personalized offer.

Yes, both types are made exclusively to measure — according to the building’s dimensions and needs. Various opening types, glass options, colors, and accessories are available.

Maintenance is simple. Regular cleaning with mild detergents, occasional lubrication of hardware, and checking seals are recommended. PVC does not rust and is easy to clean, while ALU is resistant to UV radiation and deformation, keeping its appearance for years.
